Philips Hue Setup

This guide will assist you in setting up Philips Hue with F1MV-Lights-Integration.

Requirements

  • Philips Hue Bridge
  • Philips Hue lights

Setup

Note

Before proceeding, ensure that your Philips Hue Bridge is connected to your network.

  1. Confirm that you have installed the F1MV-Lights-Integration software. If not, please refer to the installation page for further guidance.
  2. Open F1MV-Lights-Integration and open the settings by clicking on the 3 dots in the top right corner, then click on "Settings".
  3. Click on "Integration Settings", and click "Philips Hue".
  4. Make sure "Disable Philips Hue Integration" is not checked.

  1. Click on "Philips Hue Tools", and click "Search for Hue bridge (remote discovery)" (try local discovery if remote discovery does not work for you).

  1. After clicking the button, you will have one of the following options:
    1. You will see a message saying "No hue bridge found", this means that F1MV-Lights-Integration was unable to detect your Philips Hue Bridge. Make sure your Philips Hue Bridge is connected to your network and try again.
    2. You will see a message saying "Hue bridge found on [IP]", this means that F1MV-Lights-Integration has successfully detected your Philips Hue Bridge. You can proceed to the next step if this is the case.
  2. On your Philips Hue Bridge, press the link button.
  3. Click on "Philips Hue Tools", and click "Connect to Philips Hue Bridge".

  1. After clicking the button, you will have one of the following options:
    1. You will see a message saying "Failed to connect to Hue bridge + error message", this means that F1MV-Lights-Integration was unable to connect to your Philips Hue Bridge. Make sure your Philips Hue Bridge is connected to your network and try again.
    2. You will see a message saying "Successfully connected to Hue bridge", this means that F1MV-Lights-Integration has successfully connected to your Philips Hue Bridge. You can proceed to the next step if this is the case.

Selecting Hue Lights

Click on "Philips Hue Tools", and click "Manage Philips Hue Devices" (or "Manage Philips Hue Entertainment Zones" if you want to use Philips Hue Entertainment Zones).

After pressing the button, you will see a list of all the lights that are connected to your Philips Hue Bridge.

Select the lights that you would like to use with F1MV-Lights-Integration and when you are done, close the window.

Once you closed the window, click the 3 dots in the top right corner, and click "Home".

You can now test your lights using the simulation buttons.
